Bosses
This is the Ocarina of Time bosses section. Here I have a paragraph definiton and a small tip for every Ocarina of Time boss. All written by Biggoron (GVB)
Young Link Bosses
Queen Gohma
Queen Gohma is a giant Gohma spider that crawls across the ceilings and has vicious power. Link's small Kokiri Sword has no effect on this
giant beast, and it just clangs off. This leaves you to two things. An easy way is when Gohma drops from the ceiling, throw a Deku Nut at her. When she is paralyzed, slash at her a few times with
your sword. Something that works good is if you're close, Z Target her and do a Leap Attack, taking double the damage. There is another way though. When Gohma is on the ceiling dropping her eggs,
her eye will turn red. Pull out your Fairy Slingshot and manually shoot her eye. She will drop paralyzed so you can slash at her with your sword. Leap Attacks work best like mentioned before.
King Dodongo
The mighty King Dodongo is a giant Dodongo five times the size of young Link. Link can't get at this giant beast with his sword, and his Fairy
Slingshot doesn't have any effect either. Dodongo simply blows fire at the young hero and rolls forward to crush him. But there's a plan to get through him. When Dodongo opens his mouth to blow fire,
rush forward with a bomb from one of the bomb flowers on the side, or one from your own inventory. Throw your bombs into the beast's mouth to have him drop back hurt. Pull out your sword and quickly slash
at him. Just like with Gohma, your best chance of defeating him quickly is using alot of Leap Attacks once he's on your target. After the beast had all the bombs he can stomach, it's all over.
Barinade
Barinade was a Bari covered in throbbing nerves and other sorts of things. The only way to defeat this electric creature is to Z Target the beast and
whip out your Boomerang. When it hits Barinade, he will start spinning with long arms of Bari's reaching out at you. Link Z Targetted each Bari and killed them specially with his Boomerang. Once all of the
Bari were gone, charge in and delivered the blows to finish off the giant beast nucleus.
Adult Link Bosses
Phantom Ganon
Phantom Ganon is a horrible ghostly form of Ganon with a devilish face. He sits atop a black, armored horse, galloping around with his large spear.
Link cam not get at him easily, so you have to think when you battle him. When he goes into a painting, scan the room in circles. When you see him come out of a painting, don't be surprised if he turns around.
Quickly scan around again and you'll see him coming straight out of one. Pull your Fairy Bow out and shoot him with it. Do this over and over until he drops off his horse. Now, with his spear he will shoot
energy at you. Hit the energy back with your sword and start the baseball game, hitting it back over and over until it hits him. Race over and pull out your sword. Slash and slash, Leap Attacks work well.
Do this repeatedly until his death (or... until Ganondorf gets angry and locks him in another realm for not being a good boss) and you'll get the Forest Medallion!
Volvagia
Volvagia is the giant dragon that had bothered the Gorons for years long before until the Goron Hero came with his might Megaton Hammer and defeated the
beast. Now, after Ganondorf unleashed it a second time, Link has to race in and save the Gorons. This boss isn't actually all that tough. When he popped up, Link would slam him with the Megaton Hammer before
Volvagia had time to lung at him. When the beast falls, just slash at him with your Master Sword. After a few times of this, Volvagia will go into the air and drop rocks at you. Dodge them from watching the
shadows. When he goes back to his burrow, Volvagia will start popping up and then appearing somewhere else. This means don't always be exactly ready to hit him until you're sure he's popped up for good. Soon,
you'll have him defeated with ease.
Morpha
Morpha is a small sphere that wanders around in the water glowing, controlling everything in the liquid around it. This boss is VERY simple if you know
what to do. Ready your Longshot and head on. Stand at the side. When Morpha pops up in a wave of water, Z Target it quickly, and shoot it with your Longshot. Morpha will be dragged on shore where you simply hit
him a few times with your sword. Don't waste times with Leap Attacks. If you're not quick enough grabbing him though, his wave will grasp you and smash you against the shore wildly. Keep this going for a while.
After a bit, two waves will come up. This means you'll have to be extra careful. Keep it going and you'll have Morpha defeated in no time at all.
Bongo Bongo
Bongo Bongo, a horrible shadow that haunts the night, is the next boss that Link takes up. The giant beast hides in the shadow while he hands do the dirty
work of bashing the drum and pounding on Link. But, if you are a good player, this boss isn't nearly as heard as he looks, and if you have Biggoron's Sword he's very easy. Keep your Arrows and Lens of Truth out
while you fight him, because you'll use them alot. Whenever you get a chance, dodge the one hand that attacks while Z targetting the other hand and letting some arrows fly at it. When the arrow touches, the hand will
freeze. Do this to the other hand and then quickly use your Lens of Truth towards Bongo Bongo's body and his evil red eye. Manually shoot an arrow into the depths of his eye as quick as you can, then rush in to
slash and attack with your sword. Do this same thing repeatedly and this dark shadow will go back to where he came from.
Twinrova
Twin Rova is not one, but TWO bosses for you to fight this time. Yay... ;-). One of the witch twins used ice magic, while the other used fire. Beating them is
easy, but actually very fun to do. Remember to use the Master Sword, because you'll be using your Mirror Shield alot. When one sister shoots ice at you, reflect it back with your mirror shield, and move around until
you have the ice on the other witch. When that witch shoots fire, reflect it to the ice-shooting witch, and so on. When you've done this until they're both done, the two will transform into one evil looking witch named
Twinrova. When she shoots ice, use your Mirror Shield, and it will collect it. After this, dodge all the fire shoots, but collect ice until you've collected it three times. Then it will begin to shoot from your shield.
Shoot it at Twinrova and she will fall. Rush forward quickly and pull out your sword (switching to Biggoron's Sword quickly works good) and slash at her until she gets back up. Then do the same thing but with fire.
Repeat until the two twins split apart and are sent up to the afterlife.
Ganondorf
Finally, your battle with Ganondorf has come. He wears a cape and floats above the middle, shooting energy. He is much like Phantom Ganon, in the way that you must
reflect his energy back at him. Biggoron's Sword works well. Also make sure to keep your Light Arrows equipped to somewhere comfortable where you can easily get at them. Bat his energy back at him until it hits. He
will hang helpless in the air for a couple of seconds. Quickly pull out your Light Arrows and nail him. He will fall to the middle slumped down. Go across as quick as you can and slash as much as you can. Don't worry
about Leap Attacks, there is a chance you might fall off. When he flies into the air again, run back and repeat the process. You will find he keeps the energy going for quite a while.
Ganon
Just when it was thought that Ganondorf had used all his energy and was done for, the King of Thieves came back, turning into the gigantic beast Ganon himself!
Ganon will knock your Master Sword away beyond a fire wall, even if you have Biggoron's Sword equipped, so that you have to use Light Arrows and Biggoron's Sword to defeat him. Light Arrows help settle him down, and
slashes to the tail from your sword, etc. is how you kill him. Keep getting at his tail until he finally slumps down. Run and grab your Master Sword, and equip it right away, it's the only sword that can finish off
the giant. Keep slashing at his tail like before and shoot off Light Arrows until finally he slumps down again. Walk up and press your sword button to watch a cool cut scene were Link finishes him off and the Seven Sages
come and lock Ganon in the Dark Realm for good.
