The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

The story is one of the most crazy ideas that could be thought up. It has nothing to do with Ganondorf or Princess Zelda, it's a completely new verge of Zelda games on it's own. Of course, it's gonna be great! The biggest catastrophe in the Zelda series history goes a little like this...
The game takes place not long at all after Ocarina of Time, possible a couple months later. Just as it ended, Link is his young self again, and Ganondorf is finally gone, locked away for what seems like good. Happiness has restored itself, and Link is spending his time in Kokiri Forest. But, in the Lost Woods, Link runs into a small Stalchild named Starukid in the woods. Unlike the other Stalchilds, Starukid steals Epona (Link's horse), when she was just a pony, and without another word he vanishes through a door to another portal. Link, astonished at the time, ventures in, to find himself in a whole different world. The land is not like Hyrule, it's a completely different world to explore, like a giant Koholint Island. The land is called Talmina. But there's a much bigger threat hanging over this world. A moon threatens to crash into the Earth and destroy all life there! Link must rescue the world before it's too late!
There's many different ideas in the game, but one of the newest is the masks. Unlike the other games, there are certain masks that when you place them on your face, it changes your whole body to that creature, even changing your Sword and Ocarina to fit that creatures! For example, when you put on the mask of a Goron, Link changes to a Goron wearing some of his main articles of clothing. This changes Link's Sword at the time to a Megaton Hammer and his Ocarina to a pair of Bongo Drums! Link as a Goron can roll far and quickly, making them very good. Another example is the Zora. When Link sets this mask on his Hylian face, he turns into a graceful Zora. The Zora uses a Hookshot, since you'll be using the Zora mostly just in water, and Hookshot's all the works in water. of, but his Ocarina turns to a kind of Guitar, which looks as though it's made of bones or fish scales. Link as a Zora can swim quickly and gracefully. This is very helpful when swimming against a current, etc. Then, you can even turn into a Deku Scrub. The Deku Scrub uses Deku Nuts for it's weapon, and for the Scrub's instrument, it uses Horns (they turn trumpet-like). The Scrub can flutter with it's wings, like when holding a chicken and bring Link to higher heights, etc. These masks help out Link quite a bit, since he is only young Link, he does not have special tunics, etc. He relies on these masks. The most important mask of all is the Mask of Majora, hence the game's name. There is an Adult Mask, but, unlike the Rumours, you CANNOT use this mask to transform to an older Link. It will be used for fooling characters in the game into thinking that you're older. Like in Ocarina of Time, townfolk seem to put more attention towards adults.
The weapons are much more advanced then what was in Ocarina of Time indeed. You'll start with a simple sword. These names may change farther into the making of the game, so if you find out a change, please send me an email about it an I'll get right at changing this. The first sword, which has about the same power as a Kokiri Sword, is called the Red Sword. The next, which is stronger, possibly as strong as the Master Sword, has the name the Blue Sword. Apparently, you can get the Blue Sword upgraded for eighty ruppees to a stronger sword, which would probably come in handy. The next sword Link will be using is called the Long Sword. Obviously, the name pretty much speaks for itself, this sword will be slightly shorter than Biggoron's Sword and held with one hand. Finally, last, but of course, not least, the next sword is called the Double Sword. It is held with two hands because of the weight, and it has a double-blade. The sword will be more powerful then Biggoron's Sword in Ocarina of Time. I think it's great that there's so many weapons in this game. You cannot use a Sword as a Goron, Zora, etc., but they are equipped with their own weapons, so it doesn't matter as much. Although, these weapons may not be as a strong, because they are never upgraded.
Instruments are very important in this game, just like in Ocarina of Time. There are four instruments so far, and Nintendo has announced that they are releasing more for this new game. You get a Fairy Ocarina at the start, most likely you either start with it, or Saria gives it to you at the beginning. Either way, it starts out great. The instruments change with the masks, also. The second instrument that Link gets is the Blue Ocarina. So far it's the best Ocarina Link can get. When Link tosses on his trusty Goron mask, his instrument is automatically an awesome pair of Bongo Drums. Then, as a Zora, Link uses a Bone/Fish Scale type Guitar, adding beat to the game. As a Deku Scrub, your horns turn to horns, but not the same kind. The Deku's Sprout horns turn into Trumpet-like things so he can mix it up a little. The instruments are almost as important as the masks in this game, but, hence the name Majora's Mask, the masks are the thing to get in this game.
The characters in this game are bizarre but in a good way. None of the characters know Link. There are new ones, and ones that you could swear are from Ocarina of Time, but in this world, nothing is as it seems. Since it's a different world, no one has ever heard of Link before. There is lots of new characters though. Since you can turn into creatures, you'll find their families even! There's a whole new fairy named Bell, but what she does is not completely told as of yet. As a Goron, you will find Baby Goron and his Grandmother. Baby Goron is small and tiny, while the Grandma Goron is lanky, old, and wrinkled. She has long white hair, and her back is patched with black marks. As a Deku Scrub, you will meet an odd, crazy family. They Deku Family are all Scrubs, big and small. There are five in all, and each is as wierd as the other. The biggest looks like some sort of leader, he has a giant flower on his back, looking like he is incable of walking. Only time will explain what this family is all about.
The game is large and getting larger. It carries ALOT of memory, making it completely unable to run without the Expansion Pak, of course. The game is due to release soon in Japan and around November, 2000 in Canada and the U.S. The game is made larger every day. It looks like it's going to be grand, no, better than grand. Fantastic.
